Approach
As an integrative psychodynamic therapist, I work in an exploratory way, allowing the dialogue to unfold at your pace. My work is influenced by Jungian theory, which invites us to explore how dreams and symbols may help you to become a more whole version of yourself. I integrate cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and mindfulness practices when suitable.
Main Concerns Treated
Depression & Grief
Whether you have been feeling down in the context of a life event, a devasting loss, or if you have ongoing depressed moods, therapy can alleviate distress and offer a fresh perspective.
Traumatic Experience
If you have experienced life events that left you feeling sad, angry, confused, or hopeless, together we can reset your nervous system and develop new ways of understanding the past.
Anxiety
Worrying is part of life, but when nervous thoughts and feelings become overwhelming, therapy will ease anxiety and provide new ways of managing uncertainty.
Identity Questions
Therapy provides a space to explore identity in the context of culture, gender, sexuality, religion, race, ethnicity, neurodivergence, and health status.
Relationship Challenges
Connection with others is often challenging due to differing needs and personalities. Creating new ways of engaging with yourself and others can make relationships more rewarding.
Finding Purpose
Together we can ask the unanswerable questions and move through existential thoughts to connect with meaning.
